Beautiful Country Setting. I have lived in this town since I was 8 years old. I am now 26 and have a family of my own. I moved to Dover Foxcroft Maine for close to a year and we ended up moving back here to Bradford. My oldest son started school here and he loved it. He was doing really well and was right where he was supposed to be for a 5 year old. Then the farm house that we lived in Burned so we moved.. He started school in dover and In the time that we were there he hated it! He wasnt doing well in school.. The teachers didnt have time for one on one with him if he needed help.. The put him in classes that were like special Ed because they said he was very behind on reading and writing.. We ended up moving back home to Bradford Maine and he went back to school at Bradford Elementary within his first week back he was feeling much better about himself because the teachers didnt make him feel any different then the other kids.. The teachers a Bradford School said that they didnt understand why they even had him in Special classes because he was actually ahead of his classmates.. He had no problem reading or writing or expressing himself. I went to the schools out here my whole childhood. I believe maybe thats why I trust them so much. Him and my daughter have teachers that I had when I was in grade school.. That was 18 years ago when I first cam here. They get to know your kids very well and also are not only worried about there grade but about them personally too.. Aside from the schools.. 90% of the people you would meet out here stop to say Hi or help with anything they can.. Its a small town where everybody knows your name.. I just love it here.. I cant picture myself living anywhere else now. I now have 4 children and they have no problems here.. You can let you kids outside to play and not worry if a stranger is going to start carrying on a conversation with them.. My granfather lived in Bradford for a while and my father lived here most of his life too.. He still lives here.. I guess I just love it out here! I would tell everyone I know and even people that I dont know that they should look for a place out here because its amazing!
