SCS is slowly going down hill. I have lived in SCS since 2002. In that time SCS is slowly doing down hill. SCS have three school districts and for a city of its size that's two too many. The southern school district (South Lake) is turning into Harper Woods North. On the block that I live, it used to have families with small children and most of them are now gone. Houses are selling and new people moving in but no kids. Hopefully a new family cycle will start in a few years. SCS is on the far eastern edge of the Detroit metro area near to major freeways (I-94 and I-696) which makes getting somewhere nice. SCS is a bedroom town with not much to do in it. You have to go elsewhere for entertainment.
