7/12/2006I have been on cape cod most of my life. The seasons here are very enjoyable....
Summer is incredible! Walking out on the tidal flats one can escape in a sense of total freedom from EVERYTHING !!! Nights are breezy (except for August when they tend to be hot and still) so sleep is nice~
Spring is rainy and raw and the fog rolls in off the ocean all late spring mornings, so if you willing to don your raingear, you can catch the lighthouses sending their beacons across the sea~
Fall is the most beautiful time in the year to be on cape. The gardens are blooming on every street with the rich colors of fall and the weather is perfect for long afternoon outdoor activities AND the traffic is much easier to deal with~
Winter on cape cod is not like the rest of Massachusetts. You rarely have to shovel snow because of the warming effects of the sea air, but when we get a snowy year, we get an icy blasting~
