1/22/2008ummm, I did not grow up here and have lived in so many wonderful places that I feel like I have been banished from the world and society. The people here are nice, well mannered and helpful in giving directions but I moved here because my current husband lives here! I am getting depressed living here...just like this town.........economically depressed! I pray and hope that the Lord gets me out of here and back to civilization soon! I would like to leave alive but will take dead. Anything legal to get me out of this town.

1/22/2008Pine Bluff is a Dream Killer, when I married my husband in 2003, I moved here to be with him and had so many hopes and dreams about my career, wanted to be a Victims Advocate but had to become a Bank Teller just to make a living, now........I feel like a victim! If you like economically depressed towns without much culture, very few restaurants, shopping and opportunities, you might like it here.........I am in exile. Lord, please get me out of here alive and well.

1/22/2008Ahh. NLR is fine with me, I lived there and its a whole lot better than where I live now, Pine Bluff, Ar. Crime is a problem everywhere but NLR has friendly people and a sense of community.

Have lived in many different cities and towns -
1/22/2008I do not like living in Pine Bluff, Ar. I won't say its the worst town I have ever lived in, that dishonor belongs to Norfolk, Va. Pine Bluff is old and has a high unemployment rate. Seems that most who live here are stuck here because of family or it is where they grew up. This town is economically depressed and has very little to offer. I miss the towns that have restaurants! The people here are usually very well mannered (usually the older people) and the people are helpful, if you are lost. I moved here with my current husband who grew up here, I live in a very rural area without any family and all my friends are living elsewhere. I feel that I have been exiled to a little piece of Hell. If, you like small town living and older homes and ways and you are a professional, you may like it here. Hopefully, you don't have a problem with black people because Pine Bluff has quite a few, that part does not bother me, I like diversity and have no problem with them.
