Mansfield, OH | 2 Review(s)

Wife and Mum of 2, with a Massariwavasippi accent. As in Massachusetts/Rhode Island/West Virginia/Mississippi is wicked awesome, y'all! Degree in Building Preservation and Restoration from Belmont College. Choosing to live my best life feeding and nurturing positivity. Unabashed Pro-Life Democrat. I love Jesus but He loves me more. Currently homeschooling, but just because I love being with my kids, might send them to school later, might not. Believe you can learn most anything yourself with YouTube videos. Often found covered in dirt, paint or both. Fan of snuggling, slow food and exercise but not of sports. Cats over dogs. Beatles in the summer, Stones in the winter.

So...you are basing your experience here on a chain low cost motel, a chain low cost pizza place and your inability to find booze? Maybe next time stay at the castle in Mohican State Park, picnic at Kingswood Gardens and then enjoy a spa treatment in a salon housed in an old bank. Afyerwards, eat at one of our fine downtown restaurants and enjoy drinks at our brew pub, upscale martini bar or in town winery offshoot. Then round off the evening with a show at The Renaissance Theatre before returning to your cozy room. You may have a better experience if you choose a better experience.

LOVE it here and never want to leave! - 4/18/2019
My family and I LOVE it here. There is so much for our family of four with two small children to do, from the Carrousel, Downtown, the brand new YMCA, Kingswood Gardens, free concert series, close to every shopping imaginable, nature reserves, state parks, the restored historic theater, skiing and glow tubing, Amish markets, on and on. Also, the cost of living is amazing. We bought a 2,500 sq ft brick Tudor in a tree filled, safe, neighborhood for $94,000. We stay toasty warm for around $150 a month in the dead of winter. Thank You Brick. Snow on this side of the lake is pretty light. Excellent charter schools to choose from, including a Spanish Immersion and Academy for the Arts. Literally, could just go on and on. I grew up 25 minutes from Boston/20 Providence and we had no where near this level of culture, or the extra money after cost of living to spend on cultural activities. I fantasize about retirement...here! No desire to leave. Ever. Check out Downtown Mansfield Inc., Destination Mansfield, The Richland Source digital paper, or the Richland Chamber of Commerce to get a better, positive idea of our community, and the fantastic momentum we are gaining as we "Rise from the Rust"!
