CUMBERLAND SOUTH SUBDIVISION -
12/1/2010I had a home built here in 2008, and I absolutely love the neighborhood, because it is quiet. I mean there are children there, but you really don't see them until the summer time, and that is probably because of school and all. There are mostly families that live in my neighborhood and everyone watches out for each other. We don't really see much of each other it seems until the weather breaks, but we are there.
Our neighborhood is surrounded by plenty of shopping malls, grocery stores, parks for the children to play in, and bike trails.
Public Transportation isn't plentiful as of now due to the recent construction of new homes and subdiviions within the last 7 to 10 years, but it is slowly but surely coming. However you can drive to the Metra train and travel just about all over Illinois or just drive if you prefer.
Depending on what you want to do, there is always something going on in the city of Chicago, especially during the summer.
