Cannot believe Phoenix - 2/21/2006
I am from a wonderful town in Ottawa, IL. I wanted to relocate to warmer weather and more job opportunity for nurses. Well, they are here in Phoenix if you can stand it. I did alot of research on the city before taking a travel position here and was not preprared for what it truly is like. I did not expect to be the minority here. The crime rate for Phoenix and surrounding areas are staggering. Someone getting murdered daily. No small areas to move into. I will not stay here. I could not afford to move to the "good pockets" as all Phoenix people call them. Most have told me that Phoenix is one big "bad pocket with pockets of good." I can't wait to get home. The only thing I will miss here is the sunshine.
