ummmmm, ok it you like snow and cold -
2/15/2021It's small and quiet. If you like woods, snow, having to drive 30+ minutes and extremely high taxes then this is the area for you. The crime rate is low and that's a good thing, but I assume it's because the entire north east is frozen for 3/4 of the year and no one wants to go out. Other than that, if you want to make good money, live in a high taxed area with everything else being really expensive to the point that you spend all of your high salary and develop a drinking problem to deal with the constant gray skies, snow and cold then you've found it. I couldn't move from there quick enough.

2/15/2021We've lived a few parts of the country over the years and when we moved to Evans in 2018 we didn't know what to expect but we hoped for the best for ourselves and our two younger kids. So after two years all I can say is we nailed it. Evans and Columbia county is by far one of the best places we've ever lived. Tax dollars go back into the county for roads, library, parks and facilities. People hate on Evans and Columbia Co. for a reason. We absolutely love the town, parks, restaurants, people and everything else that comes with it. So if you are considering moving to GA, Evans should be on your short list and you will not regret it.
