Got a little much for this small town boy -
12/3/2021I have lived here for about 17 years. I will admit that I have difficulty with the winter, the wind and the traffic. It seems that the traffic is constantly getting worse. If you try and drive the speed limits, someone will be up your a$$ looking for polyps. I don’t even venture out on Friday, it’s just insane. Wages are low compared with the cost of living.
It was not my idea to move here but my choice to stay. It seems like I am the proverbial frog in the boiling pot but I actually think that I am aware of the dangerous situation now.
People are mostly friendly if you agree with them. I am treated well when I am dressed well. On weekends when I am working around the house in my grubbies and need to go pick up something...not so much.
Please don’t get the wrong idea. Like I said before, winters, wind and traffic are my biggest complaints. I have actually gotten somewhat used to the wind but especially notice on the occasional days it doesn’t blow.
The city has grown quite a bit since I have moved here. I am now looking for a smaller city or town a little less busy and laid back.
