Being 50 and above I can tell you, thank goodness that young people are wanting to leave! More for me!!!!!! LOL

Knoxville, TN

Yeeehah - 9/15/2020
I moved from that hell hole in January of 2020. 28 years there was enough of the high crime, low wages and rainy cold weather from October till May. I now live at the beach again and am enjoying sunny weather every day. Here it is September and I have not been out of shorts since moving in January. Do not miss the red necks with Ain't skeerd bumper stickers and a fire arm in the back window. Every day we heard gunshots living next to Farragut. Here in Port St. Lucie I have yet to hear a single gun shot. Knoxville ranks as one of the worst crime cities in the nation. There you have a 1 in 18 chance of becoming a victim of violent crime. Here in Port ST Lucie, 1 in 94. Look it up on Neighborhood scout and see for yourself. Also no more of those damn mountains, incessant trees with leaves everywhere, snow on the roads, Extremes of temperature. Here it stays within 15 degrees from night to day. There it could be 30 in the morning and 80 by afternoon, or vise versa. Goodbye and good riddens.

Hopefully you will be 50 and above Someday! As far as nothing to do, here is a list of ideas.
swim, snorkel, fish, surf, scuba, sail, RC air planes, RC quads, RC cars, RC boats, gardening, wood working, writing, painting, biking, hiking, smoking meats and making sausage, making cheese, canning, making beer, 3d printing, and many others, and yes I do all these and more. I wonder if spoiled mountain men complained because they had no malls or amusement parks!

Love Port St. Lucie - 1/3/2020
We have visited four times and love it so much that we purchased a home here, and move in two weeks! Lets see first the good things. Beautiful weather year around. Economy is growing and wages are on the rise. House prices are still on the reasonable side compared to other places in Florida. It is very diverse, and a great mix of cultures. The people are nice, and everyone is helpful. Palm trees in the front yard in stead of toothless hillbillies sitting around a bonfire in the front yard drinking Mountain Dew and watching their teeth fall out! Crime is very low, city is really clean, people drive crazy just the way I like it. Great food and shopping. Now the bad! No bums on every street corner for me to tell to get a job like in Knoxville, Tn. We will not have 5 months of cold dreary rainy gray days to cause seasonal depression. I will miss that!
