Oak Point, TX

We've lived in Oak Point about 1 year. It's a very nice rural community situated on Lake Lewisville. Residents are largely made up of middle-to-upper income folks. The lake is well maintained and provides recreational opportunities including boating and fishing. Although there aren't a lot of commercial establishments close by, we're within 15 minutes of several larger cities with all the amenities and services one could want. The cost of living is reasonable, and the people are mostly very friendly. City management is fiscally very conservative, and seems to make every reasonable attempt to maintain low tax rates. All in all, this is a very fine place to live and raise a family or retire in relative leisure.
