Concord, NH
Great town for families -
9/29/2006Concord is a quaint little New England town. It's not perfect, but that's one of its endearing qualities. It is not overpopulated by yuppies or old money. Rather, it is a nice mix of white-collar and blue-collar. There are some great neighborhoods in which to live. Housing is fairly affordable. And there is lots to do in Concord and in surrouding towns for young families. Singles, however, will probably not enjoy it here. On the bright side, though, Boston is only an hour or so away (depends greatly on traffic), Portsmouth is also about an hour, and Manchester is about 20 minutes South. Outdoorsy people will also enjoy the close access to the White Mountains.
