7/8/2009The air quality and water are terrible. You need to go all the way to Fresno for just about everything . Very inconvenient.............

8/13/2008Having lived most of my life breathing clean air in Santa Cruz, I am apalled by the horrible air here. It never smells sweet as clean air does. A couple of days a year after a large storm, that's it! In Spring everyone is allowed to burn in the hills. You can hardly see your hand in front of you . In Summer it is a fire or ozone or smog from the central Valley. Fall is just as bad. In Winter unapproved woodstoves and fireplaces burn constantly.
HORRIBLE!!! STOP! PLEASE!
