South Salt Lake, UT
Great inner suburb of SLC -
3/13/2023I lived in South Salt Lake for a couple years while in school at the U. It's a nice little inner suburb of Salt Lake City, and some areas I would say are even indistinguishable from southern SLC proper. I loved having good access to trails and bike lanes, as well as having multiple transit options to get around cheaply. People are generally very friendly here, and the population is very diverse (relative to most of Utah). The city seems to be undergoing a bit of a revival with lots of new development happening and plans to build out a new "downtown" area for the city. Overall, I really liked living in SSL and would consider living there again if I ever move back to the Salt Lake area.

2/28/2022It's an okay city. Nothing special really. All the fun things to do and good restaurants are across the river in Omaha. I will say CB has some pretty good recreational trails. Seems like they're always getting better. There are also good hiking trails in and near the city in the Loess Hills. If you have a choice, though, you're probably better off just living across the river over in Omaha.
