8/17/2008This is the best place I have ever lived! I've been here 3 months (lived in Denver 18 years) and everyday I say "I can't believe I live here!" Denver's Best Kept Secret. Douglas County schools which are best in the state. Close access to Chatfield reservoir and Roxborough State Park. Zero crime. Lots of kids and deer. Beautiful mountain views. Clean air. No trains or sirens. No homeless people. Higher property taxes but that keeps out the rif raff. Water is more expensive too but 20 miles outside Denver is worth it. Good deals on real estate and these are on recently built homes. I'm sharing my secret because I'd like to see more of the homes for sale say "Sold!"

8/21/2007I stayed the night just passing through. Went out for some food and the place is full of little hispanic guys in clusters (gangs). I went for pizza and this guy parked right in front of the entrance of the Pizza Hut parking lot, so I parked way back. I went inside and told him he was blocking the entrance. His friend says "Did you hit our car??!!" He went out to look and came back in saying that was a legal parking spot. Then his buddy said "You owe him an apology, coming over here all big and bad like that! Keep it up and we'll call the police on you ass!" I just left with my pizza and they all came to the door to watch me leave the parking lot. They are just looking for trouble.
