Small Town - 4/5/2019
I've lived here pretty much my whole life. It is small town at best and worst. Same people in charge of town year after year. Jobs are at minimum 30miles or more. Unless you want to make minimum wage and less than 40 hours. Schools are average at best. Teachers are clicky and most are hired because they are orriganally from here or are related. Nothing for children to do here. Town has many loaccaly owned businesses that are high to cover cost. Jobs for the teenagers are scarce. Most families are on public assistance. Drugs are not as bad but bad enough. Who ever filled out the info for this area certainly boosted its appeal. Homes are not expensive here but there are very little places to rent. I mean very little. To be able to actually shop,not like walmart or go out to eat and catch a movie. You will have to drive an hour to get there. Nothing is convenient. But I give it a 3 because you can let your kids play outside alone. They can ride their bikes while you walk without worry of traffic. You know almost, Almost! Everyone in town. Most are friendly. But there are many who believe they are, most important because they are on the board or school board. Maybe because they make well above the average person here. Just have to live it to know it. Anyway small town at it's best! No life, no growth!!!. But easy on the mind with little to no crime.
