Sioux Falls, SD | 1 Review(s)

I'm a middle aged man,& unfortunately DISABLED!! I was hurt in an accident, work related! Since that time I have been re-thinking my future and trying to stay positive and hope that perhaps someday I can go back to work not have to rely on SSDI. I'm an easy person to get along with and try to help other people out as best as I can given my circumstances. I firmly believe that we are all part of something un-imaginable that in essence makes us all as "ONE", with mother earth.People who read this may think I'm just a dreamer/Liberal...but the truth is we all need to start helping each other and come together and live in harmony.
I'm by no means a preacher or anything like that I'm just a normal person trying to get by just like most of us these days given our economy.

Spearfish, SD

No Jobs/low wages But...Beautiful & safe! - 2/13/2011
I've been in the black Hills since 1994 and, recently moved to the east side of the state, Sioux Falls to be exact. Spearfish, is a very nice & beautiful community but, for whatever reason I find that the majority of the people there are kind of clickish!! If you're not well to do or in a status quo situation with certain people then, you might as well live in a cave and watch the world go by, because there's no sense of community where people are willing to help each other/neighbors especially! If there are it's few and far between...SAD but true! Aside from that most people are friendly in general than most places that I've lived in or even visited. The Hills are Beautiful & the crime rate is low and I would go so far as to say that it's a good place to raise children due to the low crime rate, without sounding redundant...yeah the Black Hills area is very nice! The Sturgis rally is only once a year if you can deal with that, I've never had any problems with the bikers & Sturgis is pretty much the same thing every year but interesting due to the the thousands of bikes that most people don't see on a daily basis plus...I guess it's part of a South Dakota tradition that supposedly helps bring in revenue for the state since it's inception in 1938.
The only thing that bothers me is that the native americans around here get a bad rap for almost everything! The Rapid City Journal in my opinion is a joke! I don't know where they get their source of information but, what can you do right? Anyway...you either Love it or hate it!
