Brentwood, TN- Nice Place, But Lost It's Charm -
10/9/2019Brentwood 10 years ago was amazing! But over development, traffic, and road widening projects have killed some of the joy and this town has lost it's small town, quiet, bedroom community feel. Horse farms have been replaced with new development. Some hills have been leveled for TownHome communities. Roads are always congested. Real estate is now arguably overpriced. New people continue to flood into the area which amplifies all of the above concerns. Crime has also increased with influx of people, but you don't typically hear about it in the media (talk to local police and they can tell you some stories).
On the bright side: schools are rated good. Most homes, albeit overpriced, are fairly nice. In general area is safe (lots of crime in form of vehicle break ins, but no so much violent nature... excluding some recent scary stuff like rapes at local parks)
