Great place to live -
9/11/2021We moved to Murphysboro, IL from unincorporated Hinsdale, Timberlake area and love it down here. I grew up in Burr Ridge my entire life. Murphysboro has so many outdoors things to do such as wineries, concerts, hiking, boating, fishing and the downtown has everything with in walking distance of our house. Downtown is quiet, affordable and convenient, real estate values will not break the bank and taxes are much more affordable than up north. The climate is sub tropical, so the winter is nothing like the Chicagoland area. The opportunities to start your own business is limitless.
