I agree the cost of livng is astronomical. However, I am a transplant from Philly who has lived her for 6 years. I live in the Golden Hill section of town. I have lived alone for my entire tenure here, and I dont make $70K. I think that amount is a bit inflated. If you live within your means, you can do it for $50K. I work downtown, and am only 12 blocks away so I walk. I defenitly save money not having a car or car payment.
