A Midwestern Family Moves to Parkland -
8/13/2014Our family is from Chicago and we have been living here a year now. Our family settled in NE Parkland, which is considered the "older" section of town. I like it here! The library is a great resource. The city is pretty and well maintained. My location gives me great travel access to shops and surrounding communities and I am a 15 minute drive from the ocean. Snooty, superficial people? Sure, there are some, but who cares. The pros outweigh the cons by far! We send our kids to public schools and the quality of education is good, however my teens did experience more rude behavior here than in the Midwest. We choose to focus on church, family, and teaching our children that regardless of how others behave, they will be held to high standards.
