Crime gets worse every year! -
11/13/2021Crime in Charlotte County gets 5-25% worse every year! Use to be a great county, now even Port Charlotte is a scary place to live. Drugs and illegals moving here and have to have a Glock by your bedside now!

11/13/2021As soon as they started busing in the early 70’s, this place went to hell in a hand basket! My family moved here in the late 50’s and was once the premiere city in Michigan. Today, it’s right down at the bottom with Detroit and Flint. Thugs ruining and running the city. Plus, it’s bankrupt, schools last on the list, crime right there with Detroit and Flint. No police or fire, last I heard ( because I moved away to Florida ).

Won’t miss the heat in FL, like change of seasons -
11/13/2021After visiting here for a week in the summer, I fell in love with the city! Lots of my friends in Florida already moved here from New Port Richey and Wesley Chapel. I see why, it is nice and clean and rarely any crime. I’m buying a new 2 bedroom condo near downtown, about the same price as one in Wesley Chapel. Franklin is close to Music City and lots to do there or spend the day in downtown Franklin. No bad area in Franklin, unlike the crime areas around shopping areas in Wesley Chapel (I’m moving from there next week) I’m retired as of a month ago and can live anywhere in the US and going back on Monday and closing on my house, then moving to Franklin. Plus, traffic here is half as bad as FL and Vanderbilt owns all the hospitals that are all close by. We are both 70 and need to make a change while our health is still good. It’s too hot in the summer in Florida anyways, we like change of seasons and it’s beautiful here today! Won’t have to worry about being a crime statistic in Florida any longer!

Things not as they seem -
11/13/2021I moved here and wish I had known, the crime is high around shopping areas. Get on any crime map and it compares to bad areas in Tampa. Look for yourself! Housing building out of control and when the bubble bursts, not going to be pretty! Oh, and what’s what the rules you can’t park in front of your house for even 1 minute even if you live in any community, and/or a cul de sac?
