4/7/2009My mother and father recently moved there and seriously, it's beautiful! They're living right on the water, a beautiful reservoir and in the fall the foliage reflecting in the water is seriously breathtaking. There is a lot in the way of the arts and culture, Northampton and Amherst are only minutes away. And some of the best schools in the country are here, Like Amherst College and Smith, to name a few. Affordable state college,too. I am currently living in Los Angeles, California but would move back in a heart beat!

Hollywood gets old, quick -
4/7/2009Hi. I'm originally from New England and now live in Hollywood, right behind the Kodak Theater. It's nice because I like to hike and be outdoors, and we're close to the desert, mountains and the beach. But it is VERY expensive, and tiresome. There is also a very high crime rate, my car has been broken into more times than I can count. I'm looking for a smaller city or town to live in but am afraid my pay will be greatly affected.
