12/16/2019I’ve lived here for nearly two years now. I find it to be a great place to live with a few drawbacks. 1.) There is no highway access and results in messy traffic problems especially during the winter season. 2.) the area is currently focused on developing residential communities rather than commercial. But, these are, to me, outweighed by the affordability/quality of the housing compared the rest of the valley. Our neighborhood is very active and social and allows for my children to know all the neighbors and to have a lot of conversation to get to know one another and I place a lot of value in that. On the next note, this place is predicted to double in size over the next 5-10 years. Piano county has a development plan to add highway access within the next ten years. I work reviewing new construction plans for the utility company and with that, I see a slew of commercial development on the horizon that includes large box store hardware store, large retailers, large family activity centers, and shopping. But, as with a new city developing, the residential sector has to be boosted before the commercial investment makes sense. So, if you’re patient, 5-10 yrs will probably price someone like me out of the market whereas currently, I fit squarely into the average demographic here.
