Chattanooga, TN
city visitor -
6/26/2008Recently visited Chattanooga and surrounding area. The city is very nicely laid out and the streets are easy to navigate. Parking in select areas is very reasonable. We were impressed that there is so much to offer that is low to no-cost. Coupons are also offered. We enjoyed a ride on the carosel and watched many children cool off under the water sprays throughout the city, we then took the free transit bus back to our parking area. Sure, Rock City and Ruby Falls attract many visitors, but there is certainly a day or two worth of activities right in the city.
Killingly, CT
small town living -
3/25/2008I have lived in Northeastern Ct. for a good part of my life and in Killingly for most of it. I think the quality of life is good there and the community keeps up with progress. The public schools are good quality and there is also a good community college. I have traveled to many small towns across the USA and I must say Killingly's down-town strip continues to have shopping options and less vacant store fronts than I have seen in many other small towns.
There is a lack of outdoor activities however, and the climate is typical New England. Long, cold winters and short summers. It is my primary reason for relocating to another small town farther south.
