Winchester - a Family community -
3/24/2009We moved to Winchester approximately 2 years ago from the NYC tri-state area. Needless to say, it big changes and like everywhere else there are some great pros and cons.
Pros -
More property and home for your buck
A more community involvement
Alot of Parks and events for the kids
A local lake which is FREE to get on for swimming, boating or fishing
Quaint small town feel
Low Taxes
Cons
Small town, nearest large shopping area for "malls" or specialty stores is 50 miles away.
Since it's a smaller community it is more dependent on the few industries here so with the ecomony turns it felt very hard by the area.
