3/10/2022A huge portion of Jax is a high-crime, unkempt, litter of concrete blocks that has systematically excluded newcomers to the area (look at JSO data). I would never willingly move here again without a substantial career motivation (i.e., a promotion large enough that I could live in the few nice parts of Jax in communities of new people). avoid

Northside Roulette -
3/10/2022The area near the Budweiser factory on the northside is absolutely awful. Jacksonville has some rough areas, but the people who live here are particularly...particular. If you haven't been here for 30+ years, you are dirt to the majority of neighbors, and they will make it their mission to harass you into leaving. The strip club really sets the mood for the whole area. If deciding to move here, I would only look into the newer areas and avoid old, insular neighborhoods that will cause more trouble than they're worth.
