Clarksville, TN

Family friendly - 7/4/2022
I am 33 and have lived here all my life. It used to only be thought if as a small military town. Now things have changed. Clarksville has grown so much in the past 10 years, but especially in the past 5! Yes, traffic congestion at rush hour can be an issue especially on Wilma Rudolph where the mall and all the big chain restaurants are located. However, Clarksville has so much more to offer. The local food scene has taken off! Clarksville suppports local and it is showing! Downtown Clarksville is being revitalized as well with a new arena and local restraunts. In the summer, downtown host a farmers market every Saturday. Another great thing is Clarksville Parks and Rec. They do so many things for our local parks. Rotary park has my absolute favorite playground and a nice creek where youll often find kids wading. Roatary park also has walking and biking trails. Liberty park overlooks the river and has a huge playground and huge field. Heritage park has a skatepark and splashpad as well as soccer and baseball fields. All well maintained. All 3 of my children love their schools too. I will warn though, we do have a childcare shortage that is really bad. So if you need daycare, get on a list before you even move here. All in all, we love the friendly people of Clarksville and its a great place to raise a family. Nashville is only 45 minutes up the road is we need something bigger and Kentucky lake is only 45 minutes if you want to rent a boat!
