re: relocation...not sure what city? - 12/29/2013 -
1/20/2015Thank you for your positive and realistic posting. I am hoping to move to NC by Sept. 2015. I am a single retired woman coming by myself with my cat. I am thinking Hickory would be a good place to live. However, I am low-income and would like info on such things as fees for driver's license, car registration, if apartment rent does not include utilities, how much do they run? Any other information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

9/25/2014Nancy, Nice to hear from you. When do you plan to move? I am planning a summer 2015 move as my lease here runs out in Sept. 2015. I am driving down Oct. 6, 2014 for a visit for a few days. Also want to explore some other places. Maybe Winston-Salem, along with others. Finance is a concern so have to look for places I can afford. How would you like to stay in touch?

9/25/2014Linda, thank you for your positive feedback. Being at the stage of life I am in, I am not looking for parties, etc. I like the quiet life, a chance to enjoy the beauty of nature outdoors. I am leaving here Oct. 6, 2014 to visit for a few days. I am also considering Winston-Salem. Being on retirement income, I need to stay within my means.

Thinking of moving to Greensboro, NC -
7/29/2014Not a review. Looking for answers.
I am 72 y/o single woman living in central NY state is thinking of moving to Greensboro, NC in a year or two. I would like honest (hopefully more positive than negative) regarding living in Greensboro. My first attraction was for Boone, NC, but upon reading about Boone, it sounds expensive. I am retired, do not work, have fixed income. Living in central NY continues to be expensive; hoping to find something that will be economically attractive and friendly toward retired people.
Thank you.
