Cumberland, MD

Don't move here - 3/6/2008
Don't move here because the governor and state legislature raise all types of taxes including Business taxes. Also the other reason to discourage people to move here is this Property Taxes the local government wants to raise Property taxes by 35 to 40 percent in which if you want to buy a house it will cost more to pay property taxes on the side of your mortgage. You will have less money every month if anyone moves here. You'll buy less food. Take less or no vacations. You'll put less money in the bank because the government is taking more money out of your pay check if you work for somebody. One more thing to discourage anyone moving this City has vandalism, breakins, people that disrespect you, Illegal Drugs, assault, and so on.

Don't blame Dallas Officials blame the federal government for causing the Levies to collapse. Also you can blame the Federal government for not doing a proper evacuation like dividing how many people should have been divided and sent to cities and towns in the rest of the US.

I disagree with you every city has its problems of some kind including Dallas. Dallas is one of the best cities to visit and it is one of the best cities for a day trip from surrounding states that can fly or drive to visit Dallas for a day and go home in the evening. There are some people that fly from the east to see Dallas for the day. Depending on where you live in the east. Sometimes you have to fly out at 6 or 7 in the morning. Of course I live 3 hours from Washington DC.

Arlington, TX

I use to live in Arlington Texas and it is the only city that dosen't have 2 things. Transit and no downtown Big Buildings and 14 floors dosen't count as a tall building. The downtown area has about 5 gas stations. Vacant lots and so on. Arlington needs to start a new urban renewal because building outside downtown and Central Arlington will soon be no longer a option. They need to consider abolishing the central Arlington Residential Neighborhoods and annexing it as a expanded downtown. I hope in the next decade or so they consider building large buildings in downtown Arlington like condo's and Apartments. But set aside in keeping at least 2 short neighborhoods as historic.
