Sick of Chicago -
3/23/2010I have lived in the chicagoland area and suburbs all my life. Chicago has a lot of culture and things to do, but it also has a lot of cold, inpredictable, and GLOOMY days. What has me fed up now is that my 250,000 home budget does not go very far in the chicagoland area and suburbs, it is EXPENSIVE to live here. Summer here is wonderful, but it is the only thing to look forward to as far as weather is concerned. You will be happy with the weather 3 months a year if you are lucky. If you are prone to seasonal depression, the Chicago area is probably not for you. There is usually construction on the expressways and generally speaking there is a lot of traffic. Even my suburb of Tinley Park has a fair amount of congestion on the roads.
