Great place to live, work & play! -
7/19/2010Blue Ash has been home for 8 years and we can't imagine leaving. Blue Ash offers so much, that other cities just pale in comparison. The Sycamore Community School Districts is an excellent school system that we are very pleased with and that is widely known as the place that many families move into to send their kids to public school. The city has number of restaurant opportunities from diners, like Blue Ash Chili, which was featured on Food Network's "Diners, Drive-In's & Dives", to upscale restaurants featuring Thai, sushi, steak and pub fare food, as well as the favorite quick stop national chains like Qdobo, Ruby Tuesday, McDonalds, etc. Housing offers a wide variety with many small cottage style homes in the downtown area to executive estate homes and modern condos, with some located around the top rated Blue Ash public golf course. The city sponsored festivals are Cincinnati area favorites and include a Taste of Blue Ash and 4th of July fireworks display called Red, White & Blue Ash - which offer top national acts in free concerts - Peter Frampton did one of this years concerts. The city offers excellent services for your tax dollar - snow removal is 2nd to none, they vacuum leaves (no bagging!), free garbage and recycling pickup with containers provided & free yard waste pickup. Blue Ash offers one of the best recreation centers in the country, complete with outdoor swimming pools, indoor sauna, elevated running track, racquet ball courts, gyms, two story fitness center, exercise classrooms, tennis courts, child care and a ton of classes & camps for the entire family and all for under $100 year TOTAL for a resident family membership. We find that we seldom leave our town on weekends as we have all that we need right here. Future plans for this city include a large park area on part of the airport site, with an additional golf course (9 hole), walking trails, bike trails, playgrounds and regional theater with a banquet and conference center. All exciting. All making it easier to see why Blue Ash is such a great place to live, work and play.
