Bicycling - 6/24/2008
This is a great area for road cycling. Many streets have bike lanes, there are off-road bike paths going down to the beach, and the weather is great most of the year. Several different clubs have organized rides in the area and welcome visitors and newcomers. Keep in mind that most rides are rolly or hilly, and the winds can be fairly strong as well as fickle. Don't overextend yourself when starting out with a tailwind. And if you start out with a headwind, don't assume you'll have a tailwind coming back.
