Fantastic Place to Live -
2/23/2016We chose to live on Kitsap Peninsula in the community of Hansville even though it required my husband commuting every day to the other side of the water. Riding the ferry is fun and relaxing and the time he actually spends in the car commuting is considerable less than if we lived on the side of the water where he works. Traffic on the other side is intense and there is no traffic in Hansville. We don't even have a stop light. No crime, no noise, no traffic. Houses with water and mountain views for 1/4 the price you would pay living in Seattle. Quiet roads for bicycling, beautiful public beaches, miles of wooded trails for horseback riding and hiking, and boat launches for kayaking, sailing, fishing. It's the most beautiful spot on the entire peninsula. It's only 11 miles to the ferry - 15 minute drive!
