3/7/2008Take another look! Have you been to the "Old First Ward" lately? That cheap, poorly-insulated 50-year old house you dream of comes with terrible schools, high crime, population loss, job loss, and very expensive government [including law enforcement]. The overpaid police [and fire, and everything else] are a big part of the reason your old neighborhood ain't what it used to be.

3/7/2008This must have been written by the Mayor: he talks about everything except the city itself, which is losing jobs and population rapidly, and the weather, which is REALLY COLD. He also doesn't mention the tax burden, which is 1st or 2nd highest in the country.

3/7/2008Anyone who would describe the weather in Western New York as "perfect" must be insane. Must not have lived anywhere else in the country. Almost no sunshine here, ever. Devastating cold spells [and heating bills], numerous dreary/overcast days throughout entire year.
Summers are nice, while they last, but are very short.

3/7/2008I have read numerous comments on Cary, and yours is the only one I am responding to. No way that your comment has any value, since you are realtors whose only interest is in selling more homes in the area. You have no choice but to be a cheerleader. Sperlings has value to people b/c it posts OBJECTIVE views, not disguised commercial views.
