Small town friends -
2/20/2011I have had a completely wonderful experience. I bought a home in Buckeye, and have yet been able to move in due to other issues, but my neighbors call me long distance regarding my home, chase away intruders, and generally keep a close watch on my home. I used local people to fix the locks and air conditioning and they were all extremely friendly. I used a local insurance agent to insure my home and was very pleased with his and his receptionist' friendliness and courtesy. I am looking forward to moving in next month. I am a very friendly, up front, person, so I have rarely had problems making friends and Buckeye seems no different to other small towns. Remember, it is sometimes harder to break into small town social scenes because people have been around a long time, and are sometimes skeptical of new people who may be gone too quickly. A good way to feel welcomed in a small town is to attend worship services and to get involved in charitable projects that help you really know your new community.
