Yuma County is situated in northeastern Colorado near the Nebraska border with a population of around 10,000 people. The terrain consists of flat plains interrupted by isolated sand dunes as well as wide open farmlands producing wheat, grain sorghum, hay and various types of vegetables. Visitors may take advantage of the ample outdoor recreation at one of two parks providing camping areas or scenic trails for hiking and biking.
