Woodland, MS is a small rural town located in the Mississippi Delta. With a population of just 144 people, Woodland provides a tranquil atmosphere for residents and visitors alike. The population density is quite low, at 235 people per square mile, compared to the US average of 93 people per square mile. There are several businesses in Woodland, including the popular Smith’s Grocery Store and The Old Mill Café, which provide locals with essential goods and services. Additionally, there are several year-round outdoor activities available in the area such as fishing and camping at nearby Lake Woodward. Other local organizations include numerous churches and the Woodland Historical Society that preserve the history of the town. Lastly, each fall Woodland hosts an annual high school football game between two local teams that brings out many enthusiastic fans from all over the area.
