Although small, Kingston offers many attractions for visitors and residents alike. There are several local businesses including a gas station/convenience store, an auto repair shop, and two restaurants. Year-round outdoor activities include camping at nearby Lake Tahoe State Park, fishing at Pyramid Lake, hiking around the Ruby Mountains, and snow skiing on Mount Rose. The town also hosts several organizations such as the Kingston After School Program which provides recreational time for kids after school and the Senior Center which offers weekly activities for seniors. Local sporting events include soccer tournaments hosted by the local recreational league during the summer months.
