Embden, North Dakota is a small town located in the northeast corner of the state with a population of 27 people. It is primarily an agricultural community and much of the local businesses include farms, ranches, and other agricultural operations. Despite its small size, Embden has something to offer year-round for outdoor recreation. During summer months, fishing, boating, and swimming can be found along Gackle Pond; during winter months there are miles of snowmobile trails to explore. The town also hosts several annual events such as a rodeo every July and an ice fishing derby each February. There is also an active community center that offers various classes and activities throughout the year including 4-H clubs for youth and senior citizens programs. Embden is proud to support its local teams during sporting events like basketball tournaments at its high school gym.
