Blackwell, TX is a small community located in Brown County. With a population of 177 people, it is one of the smallest towns in the state. Despite its size, Blackwell has plenty to offer in terms of local businesses, outdoor activities, organizations and sporting events. Local businesses include a convenience store, gas station, and post office. Year-round outdoor activities can be enjoyed at nearby Lake Brownwood State Park which offers camping, canoeing, fishing and more. Other organizations in the area include a VFW post and 4H club. As far as sports go, Blackwell High School offers football during fall season and track & field during spring season for all ages.
