Achilles, KS is a small town with just 20 residents. Despite its small size, there are many businesses and activities to take advantage of in the area. Local businesses include the Achilles General Store which offers fresh produce and other items, as well as the Achilles Trading Post which has an excellent selection of antiques. Year round outdoor activities include fishing, swimming, kayaking, hiking and camping at nearby state parks. The town also hosts several sporting events throughout the year such as baseball games at Achilles Community Stadium and golf tournaments at Achilles Golf Course. Additionally, there are organizations such as the Achilles Historical Society which helps to preserve local history and promote community engagement.
