German, KS is a small town located 1 hour west of Wichita. With a population of only 15 people, it has a friendly and close-knit community atmosphere. The area is known for its peacefulness and scenic landscapes that make it an ideal place to enjoy outdoor activities such as fishing, camping, hiking, and hunting. The city also has several local businesses such as German Grocery, which offers freshly made goods from the local farms in the area; German Hardware Store; and German Market. For more organized activities there are several organizations in the area such as the German Historical Society which hosts events year round to celebrate the town’s history and culture, as well as annual sporting events like the German Rodeo held every summer.
