Barker, New York is a small town located in Niagara County and is part of the Buffalo-Niagara Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. According to the US Census Bureau, the population of Barker was 2,150 in 2010. Despite its small size, Barker has consistently been ranked as one of the best places to live in New York State due to its low crime rate, excellent schools, and close proximity to many recreational activities. The town's overall rating by Best Places is 8 out of 10 which is well above average for most towns across the state.
