Norwood, Georgia is a small town located in the southern part of the state with a rich religious history. The area is home to many different denominations, and there are several churches in Norwood that cater to a wide range of beliefs and traditions. For example, Bethel Baptist Church was founded in 1891 to serve the growing African-American population in the area, while St. Mark's Anglican Church was established in 1922 as one of the earliest Episcopal congregations in Georgia. More recently, Norwood has also had its share of newcomers that have opened their own houses of worship such as Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Ebenezer Baptist Church which serves both English and Spanish speaking members.
