Mercer, Maine is a small rural community located in the state's interior. The town has a population of around 800 people and is home to three local religious congregations. First is the St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, which has been providing spiritual guidance to the people of Mercer since 1883. The church offers mass on Sundays and runs a variety of activities throughout the year such as prayer meetings, Bible studies, youth groups and more. Second is the Covenant Presbyterian Church, founded in 1894. They offer Sunday morning services as well as various events throughout the year for members of all ages. Lastly there’s the United Methodist Church, established in 1925 that also provides Sunday worship service and other events for its members including youth ministry gatherings and fellowship programs. All three churches have actively served their community with their respective beliefs for many years now, providing guidance and support to those in need.
