Castlewood, SD is a small town with a population of just over 500 people. Despite its size, the town has several local religious congregations in the area. There are two churches, one United Methodist and one Lutheran. The United Methodist Church is located on Main Street and has been part of Castlewood since 1870. It is a traditional congregation and serves both local residents and those who have moved to the area from elsewhere.
