The cities of Atlanta and Los Angeles both offer a variety of transportation options for their residents. In Atlanta, public transportation includes bus and rail services provided by the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA). MARTA's rail service covers most of the city and has extensive bus lines that cover the rest. In Los Angeles, public transit is provided primarily by Metro Rail, which has a network of light-rail lines that cover much of the county. There are also numerous bus lines that provide access to almost every part of the city. Other forms of transit include ride sharing services such as Uber and Lyft, bike sharing systems, private shuttles, and taxis. With so many options available, it's easy for residents in both Atlanta and Los Angeles to find a way to get around without relying on personal vehicles or other forms of transportation.
