Martinsburg, WV is a small city located in Berkeley County with a population of just under 18,000 residents. Despite its size, Martinsburg offers a variety of transportation options for both residents and visitors alike. Public transportation is available primarily through the Eastern Panhandle Transit Authority (EPTA), which provides local bus service within the city limits as well as limited service to nearby communities. EPTA also operates several express routes that connect Martinsburg to Hagerstown, MD and Frederick, MD on weekdays. Taxis are also available in Martinsburg, offering quick rides around town or longer trips to other nearby cities. For those who prefer two-wheeled transportation, cyclists can take advantage of the several bike paths that have been established throughout the city for easy travel without being exposed to traffic on the roads.
