Barnard, KS is a small town nestled in the rolling hills of Northern Kansas. The town has a rich history dating back to the late 19th century when Russian Mennonites settled in the area and established a thriving farming community. Although Barnard is quite small with around 350 residents, it still has an active political scene. Every two years, local residents have the opportunity to vote for representatives to serve on the city council. We drove through and enjoyed the scenery and people. Nice hometown feel with a few good eateries. Not a lot to do but the main street has a friendly vibe.  More
